Rochester, MN’s Largest Mini-Golf Course Is About To Open

Rochester is on a roll with exciting new openings like the Soldier's Field Pool, a variety of discount stores, stylish boutiques, vibrant salons, and must-try restaurants.

Be ready to tee up for some more fun, because an 18-hole, lit outdoor course featuring ponds, streams, and waterfalls is opening soon - perfect for all ages!

Rochester currently offers just one mini-golf experience—a 9-hole course at Skyline Raceway. With several golf simulators and outstanding golf courses, this new addition is set to bring some exciting variety to the local golf scene.

The new mini-golf course is set to offer 22,000 square feet of pure fun. Alongside the course, there will be a small building with restrooms and snacks, plus an outdoor patio with cornhole for extra fun. Check out the rendering of what it will look like:

It looks amazing! You'll be able to find Blue Lagoon Mini Golf up by Menards North and ROCA, just off highway 52 and 65th Street Northwest. When it was first announced that Blue Lagoon was coming, the anticipated opening date was late this summer. Unfortunately, due to all the crappy weather we've had this year, the grand opening was pushed back.

The good news - the owners tell me they should be able to open for a little fall action with October 1st being the new expected opening day. They will remain open while weather permits - likely until the end of October. You can see from their construction photos that the course is coming together nicely!

They also told me that next season, they have lots of things planned - discounts for corporate events or birthday parties, and maybe even a possible seasonal beer/wine license (for the adults that are along for the ride) - if all falls into place.

A little background on the family that owns Blue Lagoon:

The family of four put down roots in Rochester nearly 25 years ago.  They enjoy family-friendly activities and have grown to love a good, competitive game of mini-golf wherever they go. The kids are teenagers and we have decided it's the perfect time to bring Blue Lagoon Mini Golf to this wonderful city and community!
