MnDOT Hosting Open House For Highway 57 Project in Mantorville Next Week
Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting a public open house on Thursday, January 13th in Mantorville to hear about plans for the reconstruction of Highway 57 in Mantorville.
During the open house, project partners and MnDOT staff will provide an overview of the proposed improvements to the corridor, provide information about the anticipated construction impacts and planned traffic management.
The open house will go from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at the Mantorville Fire Hall, with a presentation scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The fire hall is located at 21 5th St East in Mantorville.
A Virtual Option Will Be Available
For those who are unable to attend in-person, you can find open house material on the project website after the meeting. Questions and feedback can be submitted to project contacts. In a news release, MnDOT said "if you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720."
Background of the Highway 57 Reconstruction Project
This project will reconstruct Highway 57 from the South Branch Middle Fork Zumbro bridge to 9th St. in Mantorville. Work will take place in 2024 and includes the replacement of stormwater pipes, reconstruction of the roadway base, new driving surface, and upgrades to pedestrian and bike facilities.
