Who doesn't love fair season? Okay, 4-H parents get stressed out, but almost everyone else loves it. Well, it's time for the Dodge County fair and we want you to know everything you need to know to have fun this year.

To win tickets, listen to Paisley on Quick Country 96.5 every weekday between 3pm and 5pm. She'll be giving away tickets July 9th through July 17th. How do you win? You have to guess how many calories are in famous fair foods without going over. The Dodge County Fair kicks off July 17th and runs through July 21. You can also win on the Quick Country Facebook Page through the post below.

Now, here's everything you need to know about the Dodge County Fair. As usual, there will be 4-H, FFA and Open Events going on all week. Kicking the fair off will be the none-livestock and fashion review on Monday, July 15th. Livestock kicks off on Tuesday and those events wrap up on Sunday. For a complete list of 4-H, FFA, and Open Events, check out the Dodge County Fair Website.

Growing up, we use to bug my parents to go to the Carnaval at every fair we attended. The Dodge County fair has a carnival that opens at 1:00 pm every day and runs until around midnight. There's special pricing each day for rides depending on which night you attend and what time you attend. According to their website, advance tickets are $20 for eight rides, $50 for unlimited rides, and if you are a military member, you can get the unlimited band for $20.

The fair isn't the only entertainment happening. There are grandstand events happening daily through the duration of the fair. July 17th kicks off grandstand events with the Rice Bull Riding Challenge. I love to watch rodeos, especially the mutton busting. This event kicks off at 7 pm and registration for mutton busting is on the website. The rest of the week's events are as follows. All tickets can be bought onsite daily.

  • July 18th- Thunderbird Open Stock Car Race 7pm
