It's official - It's scary cold! It's so cold that even the exhibit that thrives off the cold, is shutting down. Ice Castles will be closed today AND tomorrow (at least). They will continue to monitor the weather to determine if it's necessary to remain closed for additional days.

The National Weather Service's forecast shows the high in Excelsior (where Ice Castles are this year) on Wednesday is 16-below zero, with wind chill values as low as 55-below zero. The high on Thursday is expected to be 3-below zero.

According to Lake Shore Weekly News, if you already purchased tickets for today or tomorrow, you'll get refunded and have the opportunity to reschedule your visit.

Meanwhile, here's what is closed in Rochester:

Pretty much all schools in our area, the library, city hall, plus several banks, stores and more. Click here for a full list.

Postal Service is also suspended. Click here to read more.
