Faribault Couple Reach Plea Deals in Sex Abuse Case
Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man willand woman from Faribault have worked out plea agreements in a child sexual assault case.
Plea agreements reached in Faribault case
Court documents indicate that 40-year-old Jordan Lee Schoen and 36-year-old Katrina Noelle Doneux have accepted plea deals to settle charges stemming from a sexual abuse investigation conducted by the Faribault Police Department in January of last year. They were both charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

What the criminal complaints allege
The criminal complaints against the couple accused them of engaging in sexual contact with a young girl when she was in the fourth or fifth grade. The court documents include the victim's descriptions of sexual abuse and allegations that she was exposed to pornographic videos and video games.
Schoen agrees to Norgaard plea
A petition to enter a guilty plea filed in Rice County Court states that Schoen has agreed to enter a Norgaard plea to the second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge in exchange for the dismissal of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The plea means he admits guilt but does not remember his actions. Schoen is scheduled to formally enter his plea during a court hearing on Monday.

Prosecutors will request prison sentence
The court document says Rice County prosecutors will request a prison sentence of up to 90 months, while the defense will argue for a downward departure from sentencing guidelines.
Child endangerment conviction
The plea agreement for Doneux, who is also referred to in court documents as Katrina Bartsch, indicates that she has entered an Alford plea to a felony count of child endangerment in exchange for the dismissal of the criminal sexual conduct charges. The Alford plea means that she does not admit guilt but acknowledges there is sufficient evidence to convict her. She is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
