Rochester Public Utilities recently launched an online customer portal named RPU Connect.

RPU General Manager Tim McCollough, during his regular monthly appearance with Andy Brownell on Rochester Today on News-Talk 1340 KROC-AM and 96.9 FM, shared information about the app and its many features. McCollough explained that the motivation for creating the new online interface was customer demand.

Features Available Through RPU Connect

According to McCollough, RPU customers have expressed a desire for easier ways to interact with their utility bills and make payments, along with access to data about their electric and water usage. He acknowledged that surveys of RPU customers indicated they felt the previous online interface was outdated and difficult to use.

McCollough says the municipal utility has been working to spread the word about the new app and get customers signed up by logging in and resetting their passwords. He says approximately 60% of RPU customers have already taken those steps.
