New Event to Showcase Local Iowa Artists Just 60 Minutes from Rochester

Coming up in November is a brand new event created to showcase local Iowa artists as well as local Iowa businesses. And the event is taking place just an hour from Rochester, MN so easy for a day trip to check out what they have and do a little shopping!

This new event is being put together by Diamond Jo Casino and is being held at the casino as well. It's called the Made in Iowa Showcase. In their press release, Diamond Jo says they created the event "to help support Iowa’s local economy by engaging with local artists and businesses." It's also a good way to gain "exposure, as well as [the opportunity for] networking and sales opportunities for local sellers."

Attendance for the event, which is Saturday, November 12th, is free and is for ages 21+. You can also buy a $10 sampling glass to get samples of some of the alcoholic beverages that will be for sale. On top of the local beer, wine, and spirits that will be there, there will also be fine art, jewelry, artisan wares, and gourmet packaged goods. That's not all though, there will be lots of different vendors. Is it too early to start thinking about gifts for the holidays?
