The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health ALERT (but not a recall) for frozen, fully cooked, not shelf stable chicken sriracha ravioli products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

No complaints were called in, a regular  label check discovered the problem. The sriracha chili sauce used on Dec. 8, 2020 contains soy, while the usual chili sauce used for this product does not (so there's no mention of it on the label).

A recall wasn't requested because the USDA says they believe the food is no longer on the shelves. But check your freezer for:

  • 16-oz. plastic bags of “FRESH THYME FARMERS MARKET CHICKEN RAVIOLI Ovals” with best-by date “12/08/2021.”
  • The products bear establishment number “EST. M-1854/P-19980” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors/sold in retail in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

As you can see by the label, it was at Fresh Thyme grocery store here in Rochester where you may have purchased the ravioli. Please double check your freezer and if you're cool with the soy, go ahead and enjoy. Or bring it back to the store, or just throw it out.
