  • Yes, ‘Church’ is his real name. He was born Kenneth Eric Church on May 3, 1977, in Granite Falls, North Carolina.
  • Speaking of names, his kids have cool names, too: Boone McCoy (born in 2011) and Tennessee Hawk (they call him ‘Hawk’), born in 2015.
  • He wears his signature aviator sunglasses because the bright stage lights used to bother his contact lenses.
  • He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Appalachian State University.
  • He and his wife started their ‘Chief Cares Fund’ 3 years ago. It donates money raised from special tickets to his shows, as well as Eric Church merchandise, to deserving charities as a tribute to his grandfather, who was the chief of police in his hometown.
