After several expansions in their passenger routes, Sun Country Airlines has teamed up with Amazon for its first cargo flights.

A report from the Star Tribune notes that Sun Country will lease 10 Boeing 737-800 converted freighter aircraft from Amazon as part of the deal, which it will operate on behalf of Amazon Air. Amazon will use the Sun Country network to boost its efforts to provide next-day delivery.

According to the Tribune, the six-year deal was announced on Tuesday, December 17th, and by next spring the new cargo service for Amazon Air will quickly grow to represent 20% of all Sun Country's flying.

The deal also adds 70 pilots to Sun Country's force and the airline will also hire another 20-30 staffers at their headquarters to help support Amazon Air operations.
