That news story Monday about the Minnesota State Trooper who rescued an injured bald eagle along I-494 in Mendota Heights got me thinking about the time I had an experience with a bald eagle...or two.

I loved seeing the picture of the now-rescued eagle with a representative of the University of Minnesota Raptor Center. (Check it out in the story HERE) The eagle even seems to be smiling, which, I guess most of us would be after being rescued. Every time I see an eagle sitting on or near someone, it reminds me of how big and majestic an animal they really are.
