Let's call it the 'Great Minnesota Drive-Together'. The folks at the Minnesota State Fair this morning announced that 16 food vendors will be participating in a 'food parade' at the fairgrounds on the weekends that the Minnesota State Fair would have been running. While this isn't the first fair to be offering this type of event, it definitely will be the most anticipated for many Minnesotans.

A limited number of tickets will be sold for the 3-weekend event that runs Aug. 20-23, 27-30, and Sept. 3-7 (Labor Day Weekend). Tickets will go on sale July 31st online, and they are expected to go fast. Expect to pay $20 per car plus fees and sales tax. The fair also wants participants to realize that it's an actual parade and expect a multi-hour event.

This is a parade! All vehicles will follow the same one-way 1.5-mile route through the fairgrounds by all 16 vendors. Plan for a multi-hour experience, and enjoy entertainment, a trivia contest and activities along the way. - Minnesota State Fair
