It may have closed nearly a decade ago, but this popular Minnesota restaurant is back... kind of.

Michael's was a famous hot spot in southeast Minnesota for YEARS. Thanks to its close proximity to the world-famous Mayo Clinic in RochesterMinnesota, the classic restaurant on South Broadway in Minnesota's Med City hosted numerous famous folks and celebrities over the years, as the pictures on its walls could attest.

However, the popular restaurant closed its doors for good back in 2014, with grand plans for that valuable property in the heart of Rochester's downtown. A proposed apartment building, hotel, and street-level retail space were all in the works but those plans were shelved.

Current owners are apparently still looking to redevelop the property, but rising interest rates and other timing issues have delayed the project, according to Titan Development & Investments.

But, while the restaurant itself may be gone, several favorites from its beloved menu are back... for a limited time at another classic southeast Minnesota restaurant. The Hubbell House in Mantorville, Minnesota, announced that it's bringing back several favorite menu items from Michael's this fall.
