No matter if you're excited about this snow or you're over it, you may have noticed that this snow has a weird yellow/orange tint to it. Why?

WCCO’s director of meteorology Mike Augustyniak explains that this snow is a yellow/orange tint because of dust from the south. It traveled pretty far to get here!

High winds picked up the dust from around west/northwest Texas and traveled all the way up to Minnesota, to then fall on us with the snow.

I have to admit, that's pretty interesting and cool! But also gross. If we're going to have snow in April, can it at least look pretty? Nope, I guess not.
