Some afternoon snow showers combined with windy conditions will create difficult travel at times this afternoon and evening. We're not expecting much snow today but some parts of our listening area already have 12+ inches on the ground. That snow is loose and will be blown around on to roads and highways.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 3:00 PM to Midnight and Wind Chill Advisory from Midnight until noon on Thursday.

The NWS says you could experience: "Patchy blowing snow could reduce visibility, impacting the evening commute. Temperatures will quickly fall this afternoon and night. Wet or slushy roads could flash freeze, creating icy spots on roadways."  You're advised to slow down and be careful when driving.

Dangerous conditions are expected overnight and early tomorrow with wind chill readings as low as 35 below zero.
