The Forbes survey of the world's billionaires list came out earlier this year, but now we know who the richest person in each state is. So, who is it here in Minnesota?

Well, according to Forbes, that would be Whitney MacMillan, co-owner of the agri-business giant, Cargill.  MacMillan ranked #305 on Forbes billionaires list with a net worth of $4.8 billion as of February 12.

And even though he's only (cough, cough) ranked at #305 in the world when it comes to billionaires, that still makes him the richest person here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. I thought maybe Glenn Taylor, owner of the Timberwoves and Lynx, might be the richest, but as it turns out, he barely made the billionaires list-- with a net worth of 'only' (again, cough, cough) $1.8 billion.

And broadcasting giant Stanley Hubbard, of St. Paul, while still doing okay financially (if you call a net worth of $2.2 billion 'okay') made the list, too, but still didn't top MacMillan's worth.
