When you go to an Eric Church show for the very first time there are several special moments to note. This song, 'These Boots' is one of those moments. If you've heard the cliche-like phrases beforehand like "cult following", or "cult classic", this is where the rubber meets the the road, so to speak.  More accurately, this is where the SOLE hits the pavement..........'These Boots'!

ERIC CHURCH LYRICS
"These Boots"

These boots have counted off many a band
Playing one night roadhouse stands
For tips in empty rooms
These boots have stood toe-to-toe
with the biggest baddest joes
Like they had some things to prove
These boots

Yeah these boots more than once have saved my ass
Like the time they hid that grass
From those cops in Tupelo
And these boots have danced with the devil
and nearly lost that battle
to a wild-eyed Irish Rose

[Chorus:]
I wore out more soles than I care to count
Done more stupid things than most would dare to
I've kicked myself more times than not
for the roads they led me down
but the damndest thing I've ever seen them do
is walkin' out on you.

These boots had to see California
and an Arizona morning where God paints the sky
And these boots had to spur that beast in Cheyenne
Thought that bull'd make me a real man
I still drag that leg sometimes

[Chorus]

Now these boots are one step from the door
They walked out of years before
I can almost see her now
These boots ought to kick that door aside
Stomp out my foolish pride
But they just turn around
Damn these boots
Damn these boots
These boots

Eric Church - Behind The Scenes at the Lucchese Factory

Eric Church Launches New Line of Boots
By Carrie Horton - Taste Of Country

Eric Church is taking his edgy creativity to the fashion world. The singer recently teamed up with premium boot maker Lucchese to create an exclusive line of boots especially for his fans.

Church’s new line of boots — aptly named These Boots by Lucchese after Church’s 2006 hit song — were created after months of collaboration between the luxury boot manufacturer and the outlaw country singer. Church visited the Lucchese factory in El Paso, Texas, where he spent time brainstorming with some of the very best boot makers and designers in the industry.

The result? A full line of exclusive boots named after some of Church’s biggest hits! These Boots by Lucchese will feature three women’s styles (the Carolina, the Hell on the Heart and the Wrecking Ball), as well as three men’s styles (the Sinner,
the Talladega and the Outsider). Each boot style is different and comes with unique stitching, exotic skins and, of course, high quality leather.

“Lucchese approaches boot making the same way we approach our music,” says Church. “Handcrafted, from the heart, built with passion, one soul at a time. I’ve waited a long time for a boot that was worthy of the stories our fans’ lives have to tell. ‘These Boots’ are those boots!”

Fans can purchase These Boots by Lucchese exclusively on the Outsiders World Tour and can catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Church’s collaboration with Lucchese above.
