I've been seeing way more deer out and about now that spring is here, which means one thing - Minnesota drivers, you best be keeping your eyes peeled!

According to a report by A-Z AnimalsMinnesota is one of the top states where you're most likely to have a run-in with wildlife - literally - with deer being the primary culprits.

Sure, fall is the peak season for deer crashes, but spring isn't much safer. Deer are on the move, shaking off winter, searching for food, and let's be real, not exactly checking both ways before crossing the road.

Of course, some parts of Minnesota are way worse than others when it comes to accidents involving a deer. If you’re driving through certain counties, your chances of a deer-related fender bender go way up.

Deadliest and Most Dangerous Minnesota Counties For Deer Crashes

Based on data from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, these are the counties with the highest number of fatalities and injuries related to deer vs. vehicle accidents between 2018 and 2022, the most recent data available.
