Rochester's Marcus Theatre Announces Reopening Date

Marcus Theatres have announced a plan to reopen the Rochester Cinema + Imax on Friday, August 21st. The theater, located at the Shoppes on Maine in south Rochester, released new safety guidelines on their website. They urge anyone that is feeling sick to stay home and say that everyone coming to the movies should prepare to social distance and wear a mask.

Their website explains additionals changes including:

Increasing frequency of cleaning, especially high-touch surfaces
Plexiglass located in various transactional areas
Hand sanitizer available throughout the facility

Anyone that wants a "low-contact" experience is encouraged to buy tickets in advance on the Marcus Theatres App or website. You can also preorder your concessions on the app or website.

The Cinemagic Theater in northwest Rochester reopened with similar guidelines on June 12th.
