St Paddy’s Day And Minnesota Twins Baseball
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Minnesota Twins baseball is back.
The Twins open their spring training season with a St Patrick’s Day game against Boston in Ft Myers. It will be a warm St Paddy’s Day there with temps in the low 80s.
The game will be carried live on News-Talk 1340 KROC AM/96.9 FM, starting at noon.
It wasn’t a record but it was warm. Rochester enjoyed a high of 64 degrees on Wednesday. That’s the warmest for the city since it reached 64 back on Dec. 15th. That day tied for the warmest December day on record.
Do you remember Rochester’s St Patrick’s Day weather 10 years ago? The city was enjoying a streak of very warm and record-breaking weather that lasted the entire month of March in 2012. The high on St Paddy’s Day that year was 81 degrees. A week later the high was 82 degrees - the city’s warmest day on record for the month of March.
