Appreciating Rochester Employees One Facebook Post at a Time
I was a server for many, many years, and I worked in several restaurants in Rochester. I'm just going to throw this out there, I never got a Facebook post of appreciation. I don't think I've ever seen any restaurant in this area do this, and I love it so much I had to share with you guys.
Some businesses will recognize an employee of the month and give that person a closer parking spot or a t-shirt. Heck, some companies hand out bonuses. Meanwhile, Victoria's is doing the equivalent of climbing to the top of a mountain and screaming "you're awesome" in Facebook world. They are letting the public know just how much they care for and appreciate their employees! They are spotlighting them on Facebook.
When speaking with Victoria's General Manager Jason Windsor, he told me that running a successful business is all about the team. It's more than the faces that you see inside the restaurant. There are many people behind the scenes that deserve recognition as well. He says this isn't the only way that they recognize their employees, but it is the most appreciated because of the power of Facebook.
This may make me sound like a millennial, but I think this is bomb.com (sorry, I had to). Clearly, other people love it too, because each post is liked by hundreds of people. Here is their latest post spotlighting two of their bussers:
