Val’s Hunk Of The Week: Johnny Depp

We've known he was pretty hunky for a while, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get a salute!

I have to admit, when I first told my husband about this new blog series, he was surprised I didn't choose Johnny Depp first. I've had a pretty big crush on him since 2003. Last week, I went with a recent favorite of mine.

I guess I've always seen Johnny as sort of a "Brad Pitt to the underworld" and I dig that.

Johnny has been in our hearts since 21 Jump Street, and has transformed himself numerous times in numerous roles since then (Benny and Joon, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow or Pirates, anyone?). We've got Johnny's talent, and Tim Burton's vision to thank for the majority of that.

I don't think it's a secret to you guys that I've got a bit of a rocker side too, just like Johnny...

So, maybe that's something that "does it for me" when it comes to calling Johnny a hunk. HA!

I know he's been in the news for some negative reasons lately, and here's what I'll say about that - I really hope it's not true. There's just so many twists and turns with this one.
